My first Manchester city centre wedding of the season was an absolute corker on Saturday. I loved everything about Helen and Ben’s fabulously chic wedding at the super cool Manchester Art Gallery followed by their equally cool reception at the Whitworth Art Gallery. Cool, colourful and modern photography was the order of the day, what a great day! As a photographer I love capturing city centre weddings as they provide such a cool backdrop with all the great buildings, fabulous light and interesting people in the background. Make sure you check out the previews in this post to see what Helen and Ben got up to.
Manchester Art Gallery is a beautiful and unforgettable setting for weddings and civil ceremonies, the galleries and artworks provide a backdrop for photographs which is second to none.
Ceremonies are held among the atmospheric paintings by Lowry and Valette in Gallery 16, which provides a a unique setting.
Helen looked incredible in her Jesus Piero dress which was styled to perfection and was from the wonderful ladies at The White Closet. If you haven’t chosen your dress yet, get yourself over there, you’ll be spoilt for choice. I even got my own wedding dress from here and the lovely Millie was a star! Ben looked super dapper opting for a smart casual look which suited him down to a tee!
It was great to wander round the art gallery taking some portraits, what a cool setting! Helen and Ben organised the coolest and most colourful confetti which looked amazing in the photos. We all know I’m a BIG fan of tonnes of confetti. Go big or go home I say! Afterwards we headed off for a little walk in the Manchester sunshine and took a few more portraits. That light though!
After wards we jumped in a cab and headed over to Whitworth Art Gallery where everyone was wined and dined to perfection by the awesome Modern Caterer accompanied with the talents of James Girling who provided the music. The food was incredible and looked like little pieces of art too.
Now get yourselves settled and enjoy these previews! Have a wonderful honeymoon guys. x
