Albert Hall Wedding Photography – Amy + Jamie

Sometimes a wedding comes along that makes my heart sing for a few personal reasons and this amazing Albert Hall wedding is one of them. Why I hear you ask? Well I’m a massive music fan going to gigs and club nights whenever I can. Albert Hall is definitely one of my favourite venues in Manchester to watch live music, if you haven’t been then you absolutely have to. I most recently went to the Glitterbox night there which was so much fun. Also, it’s in Manchester city centre and as a born and bred Mancunian I love nothing more than shooting a wedding in my beloved city. Throw in a super cool bride and groom in the form of Amy and Jamie and we have a recipe for success!

The greatest show of all

Amy and Jamie enjoyed one of their first dates at Albert Hall and so it was only right they threw the best party of their lives in the same place.

The venue was originally designed for worship and lovingly restored as a place of celebration, The Albert Hall was originally built as a Wesleyan Chapel. With huge stained glass windows, ceiling arches, and ornate vestibules it’s a truly atmospheric yet intimate space for a wedding. Amy and Jamie chose to get married upstairs with all of their friends and family looking on. Coincidently the registrar who married them is my old school friend Emma which was so lovely.

Their gorgeous Boston Terrier dogs Manny and Gladys made a super cute appearance walking up the aisle before Amy did. Literally the cutest!

Superstylin’

These guys were surrounded by a fantastic team who made sure they looked incredible all day. Big shout out to Vienna of @Makeupmattersmcr (find her on Facebook) who was on makeup and gave Amy her incredible look and to Theresa who absolutely nailed Amy’s hollywood waves.

Amy wore a fabulous fringed skirt (all the best brides wear fringing right?!) by Self Portrait, her own top, beautiful shoes by Gianvito Rossi, jewellery by Alex Munroe and Olivia Burton. Whilst Jamie looked dapper in his suit from Reiss.

Flowers were from my talented friends at Frog Flowers.

Big thanks

Big thanks to all of the staff who were amazing, particularly Natalie, Neil and Sophie. Nothing was too much trouble for these guys. The food, the set up, the service and Albert’s Band were incredible.

A huge thank you to Imogen of Imogen Wastell Photography for second shooting a part of the day too.

Congratulations again Amy and Jay. Enjoy the post. x

If you enjoyed looking through this Albert Hall wedding photography and you’re interested in booking me for your own day I’d love to hear from you. Come and say hello and tell me about what you’re planning!
