Hampton Manor Wedding Photographer
Last October I had the pleasure of capturing this stunning autumnal wedding at the very beautiful Hampton Manor in the Midlands. The Photography in around this stunning place was a delight to capture, not only because of how lovely this place is or that it was autumn, probably my favourite season to photograph, but it was also of my lovely friends Louisa and Joe. It was great to spend a day capturing this lovely pair who have been together a fair while and see them tie the knot. The day was full of fun, love and loads of laughs, the perfect mix for a perfect day.
I’ve enjoyed going back through the photographs and choosing the images to go in the blog post. It brought it all back including the epic dance floor moves!
Enjoy the post and scroll down to the bottom to read what Lou and Joe had to say about their big day. x
A few words from the happy couple:
How they met… In a bar… classy!!!
The proposal… Joe had the hard task of proposing just after my beloved Wallabies had been gallantly defeated in the rugby world cup… but I guess the sunset on a Mexican beach, with prosecco and of course Joe holding a sparkler in his hand convinced me to say Yes 😉
A bit more about their day… Lou is very non traditional and laid back, however Joe is a little more on the traditional side and bit of a groomzilla. So we managed to find a happy medium of a relaxed and informal day at the most stunning of venues in Hampton Manor. We didn’t really set out to get married there as we live in London, however we thought we’d visit and see what it was like… we fell in love with it instantly! Just such a beautiful venue and amazing staff. Couldn’t have asked for more!
Favourite parts of their day… Lou- the early morning run and breakfast on my own in the bridal suite and watching the sun rise was incredible, felt so blessed and excited for the day. Oh and of course the marriage bit ;)! Joe: Dancing in the evening when everyone was having fun and it felt like a real party!
Some supplier love…
Ayesha Photography without a doubt!!!!! Also make up by Jodie (I had Jodie for makeup and Michelle for hair) so professional and just a pleasure to have around on the wedding day. Also, they made my mum look and feel amazing, which meant a lot to me! (Makeupbyjodie.co.uk) Also the DJ (Benny Smyth from bsentertainments.co.uk) and the wedding cake / cupcakes were amazeballs (crestwood cakes and bakes – crestwoodcakesandbakes.co.uk) also finally the wedding video… so brilliant (one-wedding.com).
What Louisa wore… Blush lace two piece short sleeve top and midi skirt made by my Mum!!!
Advice from the happy couple… Make sure you enjoy it, don’t worry or care what happens on the day, everyone and everything will sort themselves out! Also, prosecco really helps 😉
Their first dance… It was the Carpenters ‘Close to you’ sung by one of our best mates who passed away a few years back. She had an amazing voice and had recorded a few covers, so we chose this to have her there on the day. She was a very obvious absence on our wedding day so it felt amazing to hear her sing our first dance!
Finally Joe and Lou tried to sum me up in 3 words…! Oh that’s hard… blessed, relaxed, loved!
Thank you guys! I loved it all. I hope you enjoyed reliving the day. x
