This was my second time shooting a Loft Studios wedding in London and my goodness was it a belter! Let me introduce you to Siobhan and Toby who had the most colourful, joyous and fun filled day with a tonne of unique details that made my little photography brain explode 🙂
Loft Studios is a genuine blank canvas venue that can turn anyone’s creative wedding vision into a reality. Check out what Shiv and Toby created with help from the amazing Rebel Rebel florists and a tonne of neons from Vowed and Amazed and Bag and Bones.
Shiv and I hit it off from the word go with her Manchester roots, her left wing passions (Shiv for the next Labour prime minister I say!) and her desire to create a joyous non-traditional day that everyone would enjoy. The more I found out about this wedding the more excited I got as the day drew closer. After my Skype chat with Shiv and Toby I was left on a high and I couldn’t wait to capture the day.
I’ll let the images do the talking but I’m sure you’ll agree that everyone looked incredible! When the dress code is “colourful and comfy” it was never going to be boring right.
Shiv looked absolutely unreal in her bespoke Andrea Hawkes bridal jumpsuit. This was a totally unique creation just for Shiv and she kept it a surprise from her girls… I LOVED their reaction to her “dress”.
The stunning hair and makeup was by the super team at Portraits Bridal. What a fab bunch of girls to work with.
Shiv’s entourage and I mean entourage (every time I thought I’d seen all of the bridesmaids, more fabulous gals kept appearing) wore a super cool orange trouser suit by Emma Willis at Next – how cool do they look?! And I’m just putting it out there… please can I have more bridesmaids in trouser suits???
Let’s not forget the boys who looked great in their Zara suit jackets and Uniqlo chinos. I loved the added touch of bespoke green bow ties and pocket squares made by the talented Kerri at Francis + Louise – go and check out their work and give them a follow.
The amazing Sarah Powell conducting the most beautiful humanist ceremony which included a neon hand fasting. Sarah was so lovely and whilst we were having a little chat after the ceremony, she was telling me and Helen (my amazing friend and second shooter) how lovely it was that Shiv and Toby invited her over for dinner when they got together to chat about their ceremony. How nice is that?!
A humanist ceremony allows you to create a heartfelt and personal ceremony that is totally unique to you. I had one myself and I absolutely loved how special it was to us.
Definitely check out Sarah’s instagram, she’s quite something 🙂
The whole day was incredible and it absolutely would not have been without an amazing team of wedding glitterati! Massive thanks to Jamie and Josephine at Loft Studios.
A huge thanks to my lovely friend Helen Schryver who was on hand to second shoot for me and was just ace.
Let’s not forget the fabulous cake, one of my favourite images is of the cake against the “Love to love you baby” neon! Isobel Bakes, you are very talented!
I could bang on and on about this one but I’m going to let you sit back and enjoy the photos. These guys also added on a wedding highlights film so make sure you keep an eye out for when that’s ready! Trust me, you’ll want to see all of that colour, the dancing up the aisle, the hilarious speeches outside on the staircase, that colourful confetti as well as a massive bridal party Irish first dance!
Congratulations again Shiv and Toby, what a day! x
If you loved my photography skills for this Loft Studios wedding and you’re planning your own fun, colourful and non-traditional wedding day and want me along then come and say hello and tell me all about it!
