As I sit and write this post I am amazed at how we’re already at the end of 2016 and about to enter another year. I mean how did that happen?! I have to say this year has been incredible! Not only from a business perspective but on a personal level too.

This time last year I was on a flight on my way to start the most incredible adventure in New Zealand and Australia. I spent 4 wonderful months travelling, shooting weddings and creating amazing new memories.

To start off the year shooting weddings in one of the most beautiful countries I’ve ever visited was surreal and an absolute joy. I came back to the UK ready to capture more memories for my awesome couples and I’ve loved every second of it. This year also saw me heading over to Italy and France to capture more happy memories.

I’ve had the pleasure of working with incredible photographers and friends this year too which I feel has given me another side to my photography and what I see at weddings. A special thank you to Joanna (of Joanna Walker Photography) who not only gave me the opportunity to shoot alongside her in New Zealand but also put up with me for 4 months!! And not forgetting Cassandra Lane Photography, Bonbon Photography, The Crawleys, HDM Photography, Claire Penn, Kyle Hassall and The Foxley’s who have all been fab to work with too.

Before I let you enjoy my round up for Two Thousand and Sixteen, I can’t forget to mention my little nomination for New York based Rangefinder magazine’s 30 Rising Stars in wedding photography for 2016. Now I know I didn’t make the final 30 but to even be considered alongside 200 of the most talented photographers across the globe is a massive achievement and I’ll be really un-British and say I’m really proud of myself for this. When I first started shooting weddings I always set out to do the best for my couples and that is still the main reason I do what I do. My couples come first. I’m not about industry recognition and I totally shy away from awards and accolades but hey every now and again its nice to know what you do is appreciated by other folk I look up to.

A last but not least thank you to every single one of my amazing couples for trusting me and allowing me to be part of your day!

So this is me signing off for 2016 and I’ll see you all next year!
