Manchester Wedding Photography – My Best of 2017

What a year 2017 has been. It’s been an absolute whirlwind both on a business and personal level and I’ve loved every single second of it! It’s been the year I got engaged in Seville and then married in New York which was just the best (you can have a nosey at our celebrations here, captured so well by Cassandra Lane). On top of that I’ve had the pleasure of capturing the weddings of so many of my gorgeous couples all over the UK from my hometown Manchester down to Norfolk, London and up to the Highlands of Scotland with destination weddings in Italy and Spain too.

2017 was also the year Cassandra Lane and I joined forces to deliver our wedding photography workshops Shoot Joy which has been a real success. The first one was held in Spring at Manchester’s stunning and unique wedding venue Victoria Baths with the Autumn workshop being held at Manchester’s newest odd venue Oddfellows on the Park. It’s such a pleasure to pass on learning from our photography careers to others wanting practical advice and inspiration.

It was also the year me and my mucker Helen Schryver launched our new and exciting venture Oomf! providing photos that don’t suck for creative entrepreneurs and independent businesses. We even headed out to Lisbon, Portugal to capture a fun shoot for a super cool surf school. How great is that?!

I’m super excited to get stuck into 2018 – not only because we’ve just got ourselves a lovely new kitten called Biscuit but because I have lots of exciting weddings in the diary, I’m shooting more and more family work which I love, offering more photography training to wedding photographers with potentially a very exciting prospect on the horizon (watch this space), I’ll be launching a series of beginners photography workshops soon and I’m excited to work with lots more creative businesses to give their portfolios a big kick up the Oomf!

Thank you to all of my wonderful couples, families, businesses and lovely supplier friends for making 2017 the best year ever!
