About Ayesha Rahman

Hiya I’m Ayesha (pronounced “eye – sha”).

I actually hate about me pages so I’m just going to ramble on about a few random things and hope you get me 🙂

I have a habit of overly use the following words – a lot… Amazing, Lovely, Actually, Right and So. I’ve been considering adding the word “mint” back into my vocab though. I mean I am Mancunian so I can right?!

I’m a massive Wes Anderson and Quentin Tarantino fan. The Grand Budapest Hotel and Pulp Fiction are two of my favourite films ever.

I adore Ibiza. I’ve been more times than I can remember. I’m still in mourning for Space nightclub.

I’m proud to say that I have actually hassled the Hoff – yes, yes I have.

I love a dance off.

I’ve rediscovered an obsession with vinyl – suggestions totally welcome please.

My food weaknesses are crisps and dips and chilli sauce. Although not together!

I totally laugh when people fall over – sorry! But in my defence I also fall over a lot and I laugh at myself too.

I pretty much say yes to most things because I have a serious bout of the FOMO’s.

My passport is well used and if I could jump on a plane this afternoon and have an adventure in another country then I would. Ooh where to go…

He estudiado español durante 18 meses y me gusta mucho! Quiero usar el español en mi trabajo, asi que ponte en contacto si me quieres en tu boda! Que guay no?!

I find myself seriously funny.

I always look guilty… no matter what.

I love an exclamation mark and I’m not ashamed of it!!

If my house was on fire I’d rescue a photo of my dad, my cat and hubby, my Valentino shoes and my Chanel handbag.

Procrastination is an illness yes? Well I think I have it, or do I, not sure actually, maybe I do but I think I’ll have to think about it some more.

About Ayesha Rahman

When not photographing weddings or families or now that I’ve finished planning my own day (I got married not that long ago in New York which was blinking amazing (get in touch if you’re getting married in the Big Apple and need any advice or a photographer, I’d love to help), I love nothing more than travelling the world. I have an unhealthy amount of Lonely Planet guides which I love! If not travelling then I’m busy trying to learn how to speak Spanish (slowly), out with with my girls, discovering new haunts in Manchester, having a Netflix or movie night binge with my hubby Phil and our very shy cat Biscuit, booking gigs or club nights, playing around with my DJ equipment or sat pondering how I can live in Ibiza permanently! This year we’re also about to become parents… doggy parents. I can’t wait to share more on our new arrival soon…

About Ayesha Rahman

In 2016 I got the most exciting and nerve wracking news which is still hard for me to believe. I was shortlisted for “30 Rising Stars of Wedding Photography” by New York based industry leading Rangefinder Magazine. Now let me put this into perspective for you… this is in the world for 2016!! The results were announced and although I didn’t quite make the top 30, I’m still insanely proud to be even considered for this alongside around 200 very talented photographers across the globe. It’s a pretty big deal really.

My work has also been featured on top wedding blogs such as Rock n’ Roll Bride, Love My Dress, Festival Bride, Boho Bride, The Wedding Community Blog and more. I am also a proud official supplier to Rock My Wedding’s The List.

I’ve been lucky enough to have photographed so many weddings over the years and I’ve met the most wonderful couples and their friends and family through doing so. I’m fortunate enough to call a lot of my couples friends and I adore that I get to be part of their lives as a mate. Although awards, features and recognition in the industry is all pretty darn lovely and I feel super proud of myself, it’s not why I love my job. I do it for you, for my couples, to give you flipping amazing photographs that you’re going to love forever. I spend time getting to know you, we can hang out, chat weddings or not and then on the day it’s like having another mate with you who happens to take gorgeous photos (and can bust moves with you on the dance floor).

About Ayesha Rahman

Incredibly my job has taken me to New Zealand, Italy, Spain, France, Portugal and all over the UK and Ireland capturing gorgeous weddings. All of which have been amazing but I’m happy to shoot anywhere. I’ve photographed beautiful “I do’s” from actual castles (like actual Downton Abbey or Highclere Castle as it’s called in real life), stunning rooftop urban hotels, rainy and sunny beach nuptials, muddy festival field vows, boat receptions and beyond!
